Vocabulary

BASIC GEOMETRY CONCEPTS AND DEFINITIONS:

Geometry: It´s the area of the movement.
Point: In the geometry, a point is defined  in two lines that are cut.
Line: Is a succession object formed of infinite points.
Ray: Is the line that starts at a particular point.
End Point: Is a point at wich a ray ends or satrst.
Midpoint: It´s the point that is halfway between the endpoints of the line segment.
Line Segment: It´s a line with two endpoints.
Straight Line: A line whose points follow the same direction.
Plane: Space limited by starights.
Lenght: Measurment of something from end to end.
GEOMETRY DRAWING AND SUPPLIES CONCEPTS AND DEFINITIONS:
Freehand: Draw by hand.
Line/Techincal Drawing: It´s a drawing made with tha help of supplies.
Compass: It´s a tool for drawings circles and arcs.
Protactor: An semicircular instrument, it sereves for measure of angles.
Set squares: It´s a material of draw.
Eraser: It´s use to erase.
Ruler: Is the instrument that serves to make lines.
Circle: set of  point at the same distance.
Circumference: full length of a circle.
Center: point equidistant of the points.
Radius: it is the length of a line segment.
Diameter: line segment that passes from the center.
Chord: line segment which conects two point.
Tangent: element to straight or curve lines.
Outer: when an element which doesn't touch a circumference.
Radius: it´s a line from the center and the perimeter
Diameter: line segment that goes from a point of the perimeter to another point, passing for the center of the circle
Chord: line that connects two points of the circle not through the center
Arc: segment of a circle
Arrow:segment that divides an arc in the middle. It´s the center of the chord
Tangent: line that only touch a point of a circle
Inner: element inside the circumference
Concentric circles: circles with different radius but place in the plane sharing the center

THE HALLOWEEN TRADITION

Halloween originally comes from the Celts that lived in Europe over 2000 years ago.
The Celtic festival comes from the Old Irish for “summer’s end” and the beginning of the ‘darker half’ of the year, the winter.
During the 19th Century when the Irish and Scottish immigrated massively to North America they brought the Halloween tradition with them.
Houses are decorated with, artificial spiders and cobwebs, pretend witches and ghosts.
People, children and adults dress up as ghosts, vampires, witches ... Children play trick or treat.
This happens on the night of October 31 and the next day is known as  All Saints Day ...
